Our MISSION.
72% of the world's illiterates are in Africa In 2008, nearly 796 million adults (17% of the adult population worldwide) could neither read nor write. Even today 43% of children with no access to schooling live in SubSaharan Africa.
Literacy is the foundational skill where all other skills are built on. Literacy is what enables increased contribution to domestic and international economy. Literacy is the single tool to empower and liberate oneself and others.

Based on the Wearebibli Project- a squad of executives and 200+ volunteers with 30+ pictorial story book creations, We seek to close the huge global education gap through innovative, humanitarian-driven tech solutions – Lpad with a solar charger designed, created and delivered for African kids solely by Canadian high school students who strive to increase the wealth of access to education resources for African students. Our first goal has set for 5000 children of 20 schools in Kenya.
THE SOLUTION.
L-Pad is currently developing L-Pads, a digitalized library of children's books. Not only is the L-Pad solar powered, but it can also be updated with the latest children’s books written by volunteers from WeAreBibli, and help from across continents with StarLink. By working together with locals and people on the ground, we will drive substantial change by bringing together all the partners, communities, students, and teachers to achieve our moonshot vision.
