Hi, we're the hardware team! We believe in literacy's power to change lives and revolutionize communities. With expertise in circuit boards, welding, and a plethora of coding languages, we develop, test, and code L-Pads and their software. We make sure L-Pads work efficiently, seamlessly, and effectively so generations of Kenyan primary schoolers can enjoy reading.

Hi! We’re the Solar Charger Team. We handle all things related to charging in the L-Pad, whether that is the battery, charger, or solar panels. In order to ensure that children in Kenya have access to literature, anywhere, anytime, we make sure that the L-Pads are always charged!

The story creation part of the ASIP project is done as work within the WeAreBibli nonprofit, founded by Angela. The learning pad is an extension of the WeAreBibli initiative in order to allow our books to be more accessible to children in Africa. Africa has one of the lowest literacy levels in the world, and many children are deprived not only of education, but also of meeting their basic life necessities. This project aims to improve their education level through creating stories that share a lesson but are also interesting and entertaining for them to read.
